Watch and Learn When Playing Poker

One of the most important factors for a Texas Holdem Poker player to decide is whether or not to honor a raise after the flop. To make an intelligent and informed decision requires getting a read on your opponent.

The quicker that you get a feel for your opponents, the quicker you will make money when playing poker. It is important as you are playing poker to watch and study your opponents.

And yes, this can be done even when you are playing online poker. Don’t just walk away and ignore the hand if you are not in it when playing online poker.

Watch and learn what your opponent’s tendencies are and use them to your advantage when making decisions.

Winning poker players watch and learn at the table even when they are not in the hand.

One of the great advantages that players on the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker* enjoy is that they have played countless hands against many of the same opponents over and over again.

Players on the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker

quickly pick up on the strategy employed by the different players and build a book on their opponents. You can do the same thing as you continue to play poker.

You will run into the same players at online casinos as you get more familiar with the games. Observe these players and note their playing style so you can use it against them the next time you are in a hand with them.

Something we said earlier is so important that it needs to be emphasized again. When you are playing online casino poker or poker in person you need to study your opponents even when you are not in the hand.

The clues you pick up can be of paramount importance later on. Watch and learn

Soaring Eagle Casino for Casual Gaming

For those who enjoy a little bit of social gambling from time to time, nothing can be more fun than a visit to a casino. Although playing a casual gambling game on the internet can be fun, or a home poker game, there is nothing that quite meets the entire experience of going to a casino. You don’t have to be a professional gambler to go to a casino and enjoy yourself. In fact, outside of Las Vegas the majority of people who go to a Casino to enjoy themselves are just casual gamblers going out for an enjoyable social gambling experience. This isn’t always the case, and there are sometimes certain tournaments or events which bring out more serious gamblers to even a casual casino, but most of the time people are just out to enjoy themselves at such a facility.

A great example of this is the Soaring Eagle Resort in Michigan. This is a casino and hotel resort just like you would find in Las Vegas itself, but without any of the requisite insanity that seems to come with Vegas.  Vegas can be a very hectic town that moves at a frantic tourist pace, and for some people looking for a more social or casual experience it can all be a bit much. However, by finding a place closer to home, as an example for people who live in Michigan, people can enjoy all of the best things that they love about Las Vegas, such as affordable luxury hotel , great food, and hot gambling all without having to deal with any of the stresses that seem to come for the casual gamer during a trip to Las Vegas.

than 500 luxury rooms to suit every taste. Everything from regular guest rooms to much more elegantly appointed suits are available so that there is a perfect solution for every budget. For the casual gambler, sometimes the entire purpose of such a gaming holiday is to relax, and what better way to augment your relaxation than with a visit to the 4 diamond spa at Soaring Eagle.  There is also a huge pool area that is renowned for being one of the most beautiful and relaxing facilities at the resort. This helps to complete the perfect package for a resort aimed at casual and social gamers instead of at hardcore professional gamblers.

Latest from the State Lottery on Charity Poker

Lottery Issues Policy Change
The Michigan Lottery recently added the following information to the Charitable Gaming section of the state’s website:
Currently, the division is not accepting supplier license applications for persons intending to provide millionaire party equipment to licensed gaming events. The division also is not accepting millionaire party license applications proposing to conduct an event at a location that is not already on file with the division. This website will be updated when the licensing process resumes.
MICGA has discussed the new policy with Michigan Lottery.  The new policy applies to applications from new suppliers wishing to provide equipment for millionaire parties.  The policy also restricts charities seeking to acquire a license for an event at a location that is not already on file with Michigan Lottery.
According to Michigan Lottery, the policy does not apply to charities applying to hold a millionaire party at their own location, using an existing supplier, or at one of the currently approved locations.
This in event states that there will be no new Michigan Charity Poker Rooms opening up unitl this hold has been lifted.
